AN ACT 1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, imposing a restitution fee for 3 convictions; and establishing the Juvenile and Criminal 4 Justice Technology Enhancement Fund. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 9 § 1110. Restitution fee. 10 (a) General rule.--In addition to any other sentence 11 imposed, the court shall order an offender to pay a restitution 12 fee equal to 5% of the fine imposed but not less than $10, which 13 fee shall be deposited into a special fund in the State 14 Treasury, to be known as the Juvenile and Criminal Justice 15 Technology Enhancement Fund. 16 (b) Use of fee.--The moneys of the Juvenile and Criminal 17 Justice Technology Enhancement Fund are hereby appropriated on a 18 continuing basis to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and
1 Delinquency, which shall use the moneys to reimburse the 2 commission for the administrative costs directly related to the 3 making of grants from the Juvenile and Criminal Justice 4 Technology Enhancement Fund. No more than 15% of the fund shall 5 be expended on the administrative fees relating to collecting 6 the restitution fees and the remaining 85% shall be made 7 available to the counties from which the restitution fees were 8 remitted and to maintain arrest and arraignment systems and 9 other future juvenile or criminal data systems and services. 10 Section 2.
