AN ACT

Designating the bridge carrying State Route 946 4022 in

Walnutport Borough, Northampton County, and State Route 4016

in Slatington Borough, Lehigh County, over the Lehigh River

in the Borough of Walnutport, Northampton County, as the Ted

S. Miller Memorial Bridge.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Ted S. Miller Memorial Bridge.

(a)  Declaration of policy.--The General Assembly finds and

declares as follows:

(1)  Ted S. Miller was the owner and operator of the

Birch Creek Fishery and Deer Farm in Walnutport, Northampton

County.

(2)  He was a founding member and chairman of the board

of the Lehigh River Stocking Association.

(3)  He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers

Association and the Deer Farmers Association.

(4)  He died at the age of 46 on June 3, 2008.

(b)  Designation.--The bridge carrying State Route 946 4022

in Walnutport Borough, Northampton County, and State Route 4016

in Slatington Borough, Lehigh County, over the Lehigh River in

the Borough of Walnutport, Northampton County, is designated and

shall be known as the Ted S. Miller Memorial Bridge.

(c)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

maintain signs at each end of the bridge which shall display the

name of the bridge designated in subsection (b).

Section 2.  Effective date.

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
