AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 30, 1995 (P.L.170, No.25), entitled "An
2 act providing for voter registration, for registration
3 commissions, for remedies and for absentee ballots; imposing
4 penalties; making appropriations; and making repeals,"
5 further providing for methods of voter registration.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 521 of the act of June 30, 1995 (P.L.170,
9 No.25), known as the Pennsylvania Voter Registration Act, is
10 amended to read:
11 Section 521. Methods of voter registration.
12 (a) General rule.--An individual qualified to register to
13 vote under section 501(a) may apply to register as follows:
14 (1) In person under section 522.
15 (2) In conjunction with an application for a motor
16 vehicle driver's license under section 523.
17 (3) By mail application under section 524.
18 (4) In conjunction with certain government agency
19 services under section 525.
1 (b) Photo registration card option.--Notwithstanding
2 subsection (a), an individual qualified to register to vote may
3 apply to their respective county for a photo registration card.
4 The county may charge a nominal fee for this option.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
