AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act relating to counties of the second class
3 and second class A; amending, revising, consolidating and
4 changing the laws relating thereto," further providing for
5 application forms for county contributions towards the
6 funeral expenses of deceased service persons.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Subsection (c) of section 2111, act of July 28,
10 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), known as the "Second Class County Code,"
11 amended December 29, 1971 (P.L.658, No.173), is amended to read:
12 Section 2111. Payment.--* * *
13 (c) The application shall be on forms prescribed by the
14 Department of Military Affairs, and shall set forth whether or
15 not the funeral expenses have been paid. The application shall
16 have attached thereto a certified copy of the death certificate,
17 and [an affidavit] a certificate by the undertaker who had
18 charge of the burial of the body and to the effect that the
19 undertaker did render such service.
20 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
