AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for general requirements for
3 school buses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4552(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4552. General requirements for school buses.

10 (d) Seating.--Adequate seating space of safe design and
11 construction shall be provided for each passenger and no
12 passenger shall be carried for which adequate seating space is
13 not available and used. The seats on all buses shall be equipped
14 with or be fitted with retractable seat belts. No passenger
15 shall be carried for whom a seat belt is not available. Each
16 passenger shall use a seat belt when the bus is in motion.

1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 90 days.
