AN ACT
1 Regulating repurchase of property at judicial tax sales in
2 cities of the second class A.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Repurchase by owner.
6 An owner of property in cities of the second class A shall
7 have no right to purchase his own property at a judicial sale or
8 private sale or from a tax bureau repository for unsold
9 property.
10 Section 2. Definitions.
11 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
12 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
13 context clearly indicates otherwise:
14 "Owner." Any individual, partner, shareholder, trust,
15 partnership, limited partnership, corporation or any other
16 business association or any trust, partnership, limited
17 partnership, corporation or any other business association that
1 has any individual as part of the business association who had
2 any ownership interest or rights in the property. A change of
3 name or business status shall not defeat the purpose of this
4 act.
5 Section 3. Effective date.
6 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
