                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
     2     act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
     3     welfare laws of the Commonwealth," including tunnel vision
     4     for purposes of State blind pensions.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 502 of the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31,
     8  No.21), known as the Public Welfare Code, is amended to read:
     9     Section 502.  Definitions.--As used in this article:
    10     "Blind person" means a person twenty-one years of age or
    11  older who has three-sixtieths or ten two-hundredths, or less,
    12  normal vision; or who has a field of vision limited to less than
    13  twenty degrees in both eyes, regardless of visual acuity.
    14     "State blind pension" means a payment to any blind person who
    15  meets the eligibility conditions prescribed in section 506, or a
    16  payment in behalf of such blind person for medical or other
    17  health care, including nursing home care, but excluding
    18  inpatient hospital care and post hospital care in the home

     1  provided by a hospital.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
