                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, requiring political subdivisions to check status of
     3     driver's license of employees who drive municipal vehicles.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 1576.  Political subdivisions to check status of employees'
     9             drivers' licenses.
    10     (a)  Requirement.--At least monthly, a political subdivision
    11  shall check the records of the department to determine the
    12  status of the driver's license of all employees who drive a
    13  vehicle as an element of their employment.
    14     (b)  Separate offenses.--Failure to check the driver's
    15  license of each employee-driver is a separate offense under this
    16  section.
    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
