HOUSE BILL

No. 1769 Session of 1997

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON STATE GOVERNMENT, SEPTEMBER 23, 1997

                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
     2     with the approval of the Department of Environmental
     3     Protection and the Governor, to sell and convey to Marc G.
     4     and Susan K. Springman, certain land situate in Old Lycoming
     5     Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
     9  approval of the Department of Environmental Protection and the
    10  Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the
    11  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant, sell and convey to Marc
    12  G. and Susan K. Springman for consideration in the amount of
    13  $375 the following tract of land and buildings.
    14     The property to be conveyed is the following tract of land
    15  situate in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania,
    16  bounded and described as follows:
    17     Beginning at an existing iron pin, at the intersection of the
    18  southern right-of-line of Chatham Lane (also known as Township
    19  Road, No. 430) and the northeastern corner of land of Lycoming


     1  Creek Realty Company, Inc., said beginning point being north 84
     2  degrees 54 minutes 40 seconds east 262 feet from a point, at the
     3  intersection of the southern right-of-way line of said Chatham
     4  Lane, projected (also known as Township Road, No. 430) and the
     5  center of Pennsylvania State Highway, State Route No. 0015 (also
     6  known as Lycoming Creek Road).
     7     Thence from the said place of beginning and continuing along
     8  the southern right-of-way line of said Chatham Lane (also known
     9  as Township Road, No. 430) north 84 degrees 54 minutes 40
    10  seconds east 31.87 feet to an iron pin, at the intersection of
    11  the southern right-of-way line of said Chatham Lane (also known
    12  as Township Road, No. 430) and the northwestern corner of land
    13  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Flood Control Bureau,
    14  District No. 13, Parcel No. 13OL-528. Thence along the western
    15  line of land of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Flood Control
    16  Bureau, District No. 13, Parcel No. 13OL-528, south 5 degrees 39
    17  minutes 40 seconds east 13.37 feet to an iron pin, at the
    18  intersection of the southeastern corner of land of the
    19  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Flood Control Bureau, District No.
    20  13, Parcel No. 13OL-528, and the northern line of land of Marc
    21  G. and Susan K. Springman. Thence along the northern line of
    22  land of said Marc G. and Susan K. Springman, north 85 degrees 10
    23  seconds west 33.98 feet to an existing iron pin, at the
    24  intersection of the northwestern corner of land of said Marc G.
    25  and Susan K. Springman and the eastern line of land of the
    26  aforesaid Lycoming Creek Realty Company, Inc. Thence along the
    27  eastern line of land of said Lycoming Creek Realty Company,
    28  Inc., north 5 degrees 58 minutes 20 seconds east 7.56 feet to
    29  the place of beginning.
    30     Containing 341 square feet.

     1     Section 2.  The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
     2  all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but
     3  not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of any telephone,
     4  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
     5  well as under the subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
     6  vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
     7  any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
     8     Section 3.  The proceeds of this sale shall be paid into the
     9  State Treasury and deposited in the General Fund.
    10     Section 4.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
    11  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    12  General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    13  Pennsylvania.
    14     Section 5.  Costs and fees incidental to the conveyance shall
    15  be borne by the grantee.
    16     Section 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
