                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for disposal of treated lumber and for a penalty.

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4  Section 1.  Short title.
     5     This act shall be known and may be cited as the Treated
     6  Lumber Disposal Law.
     7  Section 2.  Definitions.
     8     The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
     9  have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
    10  context clearly indicates otherwise:
    11     "Treated lumber."  Wood which has been chemically treated so
    12  as to make it less susceptible to damage from water, insects and
    13  rotting.
    14  Section 3.  Prohibition.
    15     Burning of treated lumber is prohibited.
    16  Section 4.  Disposal.


     1     Treated lumber shall be disposed of only by removing it to a
     2  landfill.
     3  Section 5.  Penalty.
     4     A person who violates this act commits a summary offense.
     5  Section 6.  Effective date.
     6     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
