HOUSE BILL

        INTRODUCED BY HAYES, GEIST, JOHNSON, HERMAN AND HESS,
           SEPTEMBER 26, 1989

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, SEPTEMBER 26, 1989

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating that portion of U.S. 220 in Bedford, Blair and
     2     Centre Counties as the Bud Shuster Highway.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  That portion of U.S. 220 which lies within
     6  Bedford, Blair and Centre Counties, known as the Appalachian
     7  Thruway is hereby designated and shall also be known as the Bud
     8  Shuster Highway.
     9     Section 2.  The Department of Transportation shall erect and
    10  maintain road signs, which shall display the name of Bud Shuster
    11  Highway, at the beginning and the end of the section of the
    12  highway designated in section 1.
    13     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
