AN ACT
1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for unemployment
3 compensation benefits.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 7318 of Title 51 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 7318. Unemployment compensation benefits.
9 (a) General rule.--Compensation payable under the act of
10 December 5, 1936 (2nd Sp.Sess., 1937 P.L.2897, No.1), known as
11 the Unemployment Compensation Law, shall not be reduced pursuant
12 to section 404(d)(1) of that act by reason of any military pay
13 and allowances paid to a member of the Pennsylvania National
14 Guard or a member of a reserve component of the armed forces for
15 periods of active duty for emergencies as declared by the
1 Governor or drill and instruction under 32 U.S.C. § 502(a)(1) 2 (relating to required drills and field exercises) OR FOR A <-- 3 MEMBER OF A RESERVE COMPONENT OF THE ARMED FORCES FOR DRILL OR 4 INSTRUCTION UNDER TITLE 10 U.S.C. (RELATING TO ARMED FORCES). 5 (b) Applicability.--This section shall [not] also apply to <-- 6 military pay and allowances paid to a member of the Pennsylvania 7 National Guard for active Federal service or participation in 8 annual training under 32 U.S.C. § 502(a)(2) OR FOR A MEMBER OF A <-- 9 RESERVE COMPONENT OF THE ARMED FORCES FOR ACTIVE MILITARY DUTY 10 UNDER TITLE 10 U.S.C.
