1Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2act relating to the public school system, including certain
3provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5laws relating thereto," in terms and courses of study,
6providing for anger management.

7The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8hereby enacts as follows:

9Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
10as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
11section to read:

12Section 1513.1. Anger Management.--Anger management, which
13shall in each division of the subject so pursued include special
14reference to appropriate behavior, control of emotions and
15warning signs of violent behavior, shall be introduced and
16studied as a regular branch by all pupils in all departments of
17the public schools and in all educational institutions supported
18wholly or in part by appropriations from the Commonwealth.

19Section 2. The addition of section 1513.1 of the act shall

1apply to school years which begin after June 30, 2014.

2Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
