AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 1, 1989 (P.L. , No.3A), entitled "An
2 act to provide from the General Fund for the expenses of the
3 Executive, Legislative and Judicial Departments of the
4 Commonwealth, the public debt and for the public schools for
5 the fiscal year July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, and for the
6 payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close
7 of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1989; to provide
8 appropriations from the Lottery Fund, the Pennsylvania
9 Economic Revitalization Fund, the Energy Conservation and
10 Assistance Fund, the State Stores Fund and the Emergency
11 Medical Services Operating Fund to the Executive Department;
12 to provide appropriations from the Judicial Computer System
13 Augmentation Account to the Judicial Department; to provide
14 appropriations from the Motor License Fund for the fiscal
15 year July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, for the proper operation
16 of the several departments of the Commonwealth and the
17 Pennsylvania State Police authorized to spend Motor License
18 Fund and The State Stores Fund moneys; to provide for the
19 appropriation of Federal funds to the Executive and Judicial
20 Departments of the Commonwealth and for the establishment of
21 restricted receipts accounts for the fiscal year July 1,
22 1989, to June 30, 1990, and for the payment of bills incurred
23 and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending
24 June 30, 1989; to provide additional appropriations from the
25 General Fund for the expenses of the Executive Department of
26 the Commonwealth, the public debt and for the public schools
27 for the fiscal year July 1, 1988, to June 30, 1989, and for
28 the payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the
29 close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1988; to provide
30 additional appropriations from the Motor License Fund to the
31 Executive Department; to provide for the additional
32 appropriation of Federal funds to the Executive Department of
33 the Commonwealth for the fiscal year July 1, 1988, to June
34 30, 1989, and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining
1 unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1988,"
2 providing additional funds for fire protection.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. As much of section 214 as relates to fire
6 protection in the act of July 1, 1989 (P.L. , No.3A), known as
7 the General Appropriation Act of 1989, is amended and the
8 section is amended by adding an appropriation to read:
9 Section 214. Department of General
10 Services.--The following amounts are
11 appropriated to the Department of
12 General Services: Federal State

14 For fire protection services for
15 the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg.

17 State appropriation........ 750,000
18 For fire protection and emergency
19 medical services for State facilities
20 located in the townships of
21 Susquehanna, Swatara and Lower Swatara
22 and the boroughs of Penbrook, Paxtang
23 and Steelton in Dauphin County.
24 State appropriation........ 200,000

26 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
