AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 13, 1980 (P.L.221, No.66), entitled "An
2 act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
3 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Education, to
4 sell and convey the former Warren Campus of Edinboro State
5 College, situate in Conewango Township, Warren County, to
6 Warren County," removing provisions relating to reversion to
7 the Commonwealth on a portion of land situate in Conewango
8 Township, Warren County.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Section 2 of the act of June 13, 1980 (P.L.221,
12 No.66), entitled "An act authorizing the Department of General
13 Services, with the approval of the Governor and the Secretary of
14 Education, to sell and convey the former Warren Campus of
15 Edinboro State College, situate in Conewango Township, Warren
16 County, to Warren County," is amended to read:
17 Section 2. The Deed of Conveyance shall be approved by the
18 Department of Justice and shall be executed by the Secretary of
19 General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
20 Pennsylvania. [Title] Except as provided for in section 2.1,
21 title to the tract described therein shall revert to the
1 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when the County of Warren ceases to
2 use the same for municipal purposes.
3 Section 2. The act is amended by adding a section to read:
4 Section 2.1. (a) The reverter provision of section 2 shall
5 not apply to the tract of land described in subsection (b).
6 (b) All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate in
7 Conewango Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, bounded and
8 described as follows:
9 Beginning at a 1 inch Iron Pipe at the Southwest corner of Lot
10 No. 3 and the Southeast corner of Lot No. 5 as herein described,
11 Thence North 89 degrees 15 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of
12 442.73 Feet to a 5/8 inch Rebar and Cap,
13 Thence North 07 degrees 49 minutes 26 seconds West a distance of
14 497.51 Feet Through lands of Warren County to a 5/8 inch Rebar
15 and Cap,
16 Thence South 89 degrees 15 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of
17 442.73 Feet still through lands of Warren County to a 5/8 inch
18 Rebar and Cap,
19 Thence South 07 degrees 49 minutes 26 seconds East a distance of
20 497.51 Feet along the West line of Lot No. 3 to a 1 inch Iron
21 Pipe, said point being the Place of Beginning.
22 The above-described parcel contains or is said to contain
23 217,802 Square Feet or 5.00 acres of land more or less.
24 Section 3. This act shall be retroactive to January 1, 2001.
25 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
