AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for safety requirements for towed
3 vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4905 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4905. Safety requirements for towed vehicles.

10 (g) Movement of disabled vehicles.--The weight and length
11 restrictions of this chapter shall not apply in instances where
12 a vehicle is towing a disabled vehicle to a nearby garage or
13 other place of safety, where the towing vehicle is specifically
14 designed to tow disabled vehicles.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
