                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
     3     neglect of care-dependent person.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 2713(b) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
     8  § 2713.  Neglect of care-dependent person.

    10     (b)  Penalty.--
    11         * * *
    12         (5)  The Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing shall
    13     provide, under 42 Pa.C.S. § 2154 (relating to adoption of
    14     guidelines for sentencing), for a sentencing enhancement for
    15     an offense under this section if the violation results in the
    16     death of a care-dependent person.
