AN ACT 1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for unemployment 3 compensation benefits. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 8 § 7318. Unemployment compensation benefits. 9 (a) General rule.--Compensation payable under the act of 10 December 5, 1936 (2nd Sp.Sess., 1937 P.L.2897, No.1), known as 11 the Unemployment Compensation Law, shall not be reduced pursuant 12 to section 404(d)(1) of that act by reason of any military pay 13 and allowances paid to a member of the Pennsylvania National 14 Guard for periods of active duty for emergencies as declared by 15 the Governor, or drill and instruction under 32 U.S.C. § 16 502(a)(1) (relating to required drills and field exercises). 17 (b) Applicability.--This section shall not apply to military 18 pay and allowances paid to a member of the Pennsylvania National
1 Guard for active Federal service or participation in annual 2 training under 32 U.S.C. § 502(a)(2). 3 Section 2. This act shall apply to unemployment compensation 4 for weeks commencing on or after the effective date of this act. 5 Section 3.
