           SCHRODER, HORSEY, BLAUM, PALLONE, TIGUE, PISTELLA AND
           LEDERER, OCTOBER 23, 2001

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for tattooing.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 6311 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     7  § 6311.  Tattooing or body piercing.
     8     A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree if he
     9  tattoos or pierces the body of any person under the age of 18
    10  years without the [consent of the] parent or guardian of such
    11  person giving consent for the tattooing or piercing of the
    12  person and being present at the time of the tattooing or
    13  piercing of the person.
    14     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
