        AS AMENDED ON SECOND CONSIDERATION, IN SENATE, OCTOBER 1, 1990

                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
     2     approval of the Governor, to sell and convey a tract of land
     3     and a right-of-way situate in Canaan Township, Wayne County,
     4     Pennsylvania; AND TO CONVEY TO THE COUNTY OF WARREN A TRACT    <--
     5     OF LAND AND THE BUILDINGS ERECTED THEREON IN CONEWANGO
     6     TOWNSHIP, WARREN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.; AUTHORIZING AND        <--
     7     DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, WITH THE
     8     APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE,
     9     TO CONVEY TO SNYDER COUNTY A TRACT OF LAND AND THE BUILDINGS
    10     ERECTED THEREON IN PENN TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY,
    11     PENNSYLVANIA; AND MAKING A REPEAL.

    12     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    13  hereby enacts as follows:
    14     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
    15  approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on
    16  behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant and convey
    17  to the Adams Cable Company, for a consideration equal to the
    18  fair market value as determined by an independent appraiser
    19  selected by the Department of General Services, the following
    20  tract of land:
    21     All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying
    22  and being in Canaan Township, County of Wayne, and State of

     1  Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:
     2     Beginning at an iron pin found on the common boundary line of
     3  lands now or formerly of Tammaro, Oaktree Lodge, Pennsylvania
     4  State Asylum Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and other lands now or
     5  formerly of Pennsylvania State Asylum Commonwealth of
     6  Pennsylvania; said point of beginning being the most
     7  northeasterly corner of lands herein described.
     8     Thence along other lands now or formerly of Pennsylvania
     9  State Asylum Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the following four
    10  courses and distances: (1) south 12 degrees, 03 minutes, 15
    11  seconds east, 483.00 feet to a point; (2) south 80 degrees, 55
    12  minutes, 29 seconds west, 226.64 feet to a point; (3) north 09
    13  degrees, 12 minutes, 59 seconds west, 660.00 feet to a point;
    14  (4) north 80 degrees, 53 minutes, 03 seconds east, 91.28 feet to
    15  a point on line of lands now or formerly of Tammaro.
    16     Thence along lands now or formerly of Tammaro, south 41
    17  degrees, 16 minutes, 00 seconds east, 210.00 feet to the point
    18  of beginning.
    19     Containing 2.97 acres of land more or less as surveyed by
    20  Ronald J. Gruzesky, Registered Land Surveyor.
    21     This deed is conveyed under and subject to the rights of way
    22  of any and all Public Highways and Public Utilities which may be
    23  over and across the same.
    24     Also being conveyed with the above described premises is a 33
    25  foot right-of-way running from State Route 0006 to the westerly
    26  side line of the 2.97 acre parcel herein described. Said right-
    27  of-way described as follows:
    28     Beginning at a point in the center of State Route 0006; said
    29  point of beginning being the intersection of the centerline of
    30  State Route 0006 with an existing road.

     1     Thence along the centerline of an existing road the following
     2  15 courses and distances: (1) north 21 degrees, 55 minutes, 55
     3  seconds east, 106.05 feet to a point; (2) north 34 degrees, 54
     4  minutes, 09 seconds east, 186.18 feet to a point; (3) north 03
     5  degrees, 58 minutes, 55 seconds west, 90.32 feet to a point; (4)
     6  north 19 degrees, 51 minutes, 04 seconds west, 98.98 feet to a
     7  point; (5) north 08 degrees, 12 minutes, 30 seconds east, 90.10
     8  feet to a point; (6) north 14 degrees, 12 minutes, 58 seconds
     9  west, 93.56 feet to a point; (7) north 17 degrees, 35 minutes,
    10  50 seconds west, 132.38 feet to a point; (8) north 18 degrees,
    11  55 minutes, 33 seconds east, 108.93 feet to a point; (9) north
    12  49 degrees, 53 minutes, 12 seconds east, 105.53 feet to a point;
    13  (10) north 77 degrees, 29 minutes, 26 seconds east, 102.90 feet
    14  to a point; (11) south 60 degrees, 40 minutes, 02 seconds east,
    15  164.51 feet to a point; (12) south 77 degrees, 19 minutes, 58
    16  seconds east, 131.55 feet to a point; (13) south 76 degrees, 39
    17  minutes, 56 seconds east, 81.25 feet to a point; (14) south 76
    18  degrees, 39 minutes, 56 seconds east, 16.76 feet to a point;
    19  (15) south 65 degrees, 09 minutes, 07 seconds east, 122.93 feet
    20  to a point on the westerly sideline of the 2.97 acre parcel
    21  described above.
    22     SECTION 2.  THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, WITH THE       <--
    23  APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR, IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED, ON
    24  BEHALF OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, TO GRANT AND CONVEY
    25  TO THE COUNTY OF WARREN FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF ONE DOLLAR THE
    26  FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND AND THE BUILDINGS THEREON:
    27     ALL THAT CERTAIN PIECE OR PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE IN CONEWANGO
    28  TOWNSHIP, WARREN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AND BEING A PORTION OF
    29  THE WARREN STATE HOSPITAL LANDS KNOWN AS THE "FARM COLONY," AND
    30  IS MORE FULLY BOUNDED AND DESCRIBED FROM A SURVEY MADE BY ROBERT

    28  OF PENNSYLVANIA BY DEED DATED AUGUST 7, 1929 AND RECORDED IN
    29  SNYDER COUNTY DEED BOOK, VOLUME 52, PAGE 96.
    30     (B)  THE LAND AND BUILDINGS SHALL ONLY BE USED FOR EXPANSION

     1  OF THE COUNTY'S PRISON FACILITIES AND, IF AT ANY TIME THE
     2  PROPERTY IS USED FOR OTHER PURPOSES, THE TITLE THERETO SHALL
     3  IMMEDIATELY REVERT TO AND REVEST IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF
     4  PENNSYLVANIA.
     5     Section 2 3.  The conveyance 4.  THESE CONVEYANCES shall be    <--
     6  made under and subject to all easements, servitudes and rights
     7  of others, including but not confined to streets, roadways, and
     8  rights of any telephone, telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas
     9  or pipeline companies, as well as under and subject to any
    10  interest, estates or tenancies vested in third persons, whether
    11  or not appearing of record, for any portion of the land or
    12  improvements erected thereon.
    13     Section 3 4.  The deed 5.  DEEDS of conveyance shall be        <--
    14  approved as provided by law and shall be executed by the
    15  Secretary of General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    16  Pennsylvania.
    17     Section 4 5.  Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance     <--
    18  shall be borne by the grantee.
    19     Section 5 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
    20     SECTION 6.  COSTS AND FEES INCIDENTAL TO THESE CONVEYANCES     <--
    21  SHALL BE BORNE BY THE RESPECTIVE GRANTEES.
    22     SECTION 7.  THE ACT OF APRIL 26, 1990 (P.L.126, NO.35),
    23  ENTITLED "AN ACT AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF
    24  GENERAL SERVICES, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE
    25  DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, TO CONVEY TO SNYDER COUNTY A TRACT OF
    26  LAND AND THE BUILDINGS ERECTED THEREON IN PENN TOWNSHIP, SNYDER
    27  COUNTY; AND MAKING A REPEAL," IS REPEALED.
    28     SECTION 8.  THIS ACT SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.
