AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
5 changing the duties of undertakers for payments of certain
6 vouchers for deceased veterans and spouses.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Subsection (c) of section 1911, act of August 9,
10 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), known as "The County Code," amended
11 December 21, 1973 (P.L.423, No.147), is amended to read:
12 Section 1911. Payment.--* * *
13 (c) The application shall be on forms prescribed by the
14 Department of Military Affairs and shall set forth whether or
15 not the funeral expenses have been paid. The application shall
16 have attached thereto a certified copy of the death certificate
17 and [an affidavit] a certification by the undertaker, who had
18 charge of the burial of the body, and to the effect that the
19 undertaker did render such service.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
