AN ACT
1Amending the act of August 26, 1971 (P.L.351, No.91), entitled
2"An act providing for a State Lottery and administration
3thereof; authorizing the creation of a State Lottery
4Commission; prescribing its powers and duties; disposition of
5funds; violations and penalties therefor; exemption of prizes
6from State and local taxation and making an appropriation,"
7in State lottery, providing for prohibition.
8The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9hereby enacts as follows:
10Section 1. The act of August 26, 1971 (P.L.351, No.91),
11known as the State Lottery Law, is amended by adding a section
12to read:
13Section 309.1. Prohibition.--The secretary shall not
14promulgate rules and regulations authorizing a lottery game that
15has more than two announcements of prize winners per day,
16including a game of keno. Nothing in this section shall limit
17the authority of the board to permit the approval and play of a
18lottery game that has more than two announcements of prize
19winners per day, including a game of keno, as a slot machine
20game under 4 Pa.C.S. Pt. II (relating to gaming).
1Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
