AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for waiver amount for vehicles failing
3 certain emission equipment inspection and for gas cap
4 testing.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Sections 4531 and 4706 of Title 75 of the
8 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding
9 subsections to read:
10 § 4531. Emission control systems.

12 (d) Waiver amount.--The waiver amount for vehicles failing
13 the antitampering visual inspection of emission equipment shall
14 be the same as section 4706 (relating to prohibition on
15 expenditures for emission inspection program).
16 § 4706. Prohibition on expenditures for emission inspection
17 program.

1 (b.9) Gas cap testing.--The department shall not require a
2 separate gas cap test under this section if the vehicle is
3 equipped with a gas cap approved by the department, which gas
4 cap shall be replaced every three years.

6 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
