AN ACT
1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for Commonwealth contributions to
3 retirement for school employees.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8326 of Title 24 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 8326. Contributions by the Commonwealth.

10 (d) Contributions to support mandated increases.--
11 (1) Except as set forth in paragraph (2), the
12 Commonwealth shall make contributions into the fund to
13 support the entire cost of increases in pension benefits for
14 active members mandated by this title after May 16, 2001.
1 (2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to cost-of-living
2 adjustments.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
