AN ACT 1 Amending Title 74 (Transportation) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for annual limitation on 3 expenditure from Motor License Fund; and establishing the 4 Pennsylvania State Police Fund. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Title 74 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 8 Statutes is amended by adding sections to read: 9 § 304. Annual limitation on expenditure from Motor License 10 Fund. 11 Not more than the following amounts for the fiscal years 12 specified may be expended or transferred from the Motor License 13 Fund for the purpose of the operations of the Pennsylvania State 14 Police: 15 (1) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008, not more 16 than $500,000,000.
1 (2) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, not more 2 than $450,000,000. 3 (3) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010, not more 4 than $400,000,000. 5 (4) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, not more 6 than $350,000,000. 7 (5) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, not more 8 than $300,000,000. 9 (6) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013, not more 10 than $250,000,000. 11 (7) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, not more 12 than $200,000,000. 13 (8) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015, not more 14 than $150,000,000. 15 (9) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, not more 16 than $100,000,000. 17 (10) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017, not 18 more than $50,000,000. 19 (11) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018, and 20 each fiscal year thereafter, no moneys may be expended or 21 transferred from the Motor License Fund for that purpose. 22 § 305. Pennsylvania State Police Fund. 23 (a) Establishment.--The Pennsylvania State Police Fund is 24 established in the State Treasury. The moneys of the fund are 25 hereby appropriated to the Pennsylvania State Police on a 26 continuing basis for the purposes set forth in this section. 27 (b) Source of funding.--Notwithstanding any other provision 28 of law to the contrary, the following amounts for the fiscal 29 years specified shall be deposited into the fund from moneys 30 collected under Article II of the act of March 4, 1971 (P.L.6, 20080H2309B3384 - 2 -
1 No.2), known as the Tax Reform Code of 1971: 2 (1) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, 3 $50,000,000. 4 (2) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010, 5 $100,000,000. 6 (3) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, 7 $150,000,000. 8 (4) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, 9 $200,000,000. 10 (5) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013, 11 $250,000,000. 12 (6) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, 13 $300,000,000. 14 (7) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015, 15 $350,000,000. 16 (8) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, 17 $400,000,000. 18 (9) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017, 19 $450,000,000. 20 (10) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018, 21 $500,000,000. 22 (c) Use of funds.--In addition to any other moneys 23 appropriated or made available to the Pennsylvania State Police 24 for any purpose, the moneys of the fund shall be expended by the 25 Pennsylvania State Police for the purpose of its operations, 26 including, but not limited to, the enforcement of the provisions 27 of 75 Pa.C.S. (relating to vehicles) and other laws on the 28 highways of this Commonwealth. 29 (d) Definition.--For purposes of this section, "fund" means 30 the Pennsylvania State Police Fund established under this 20080H2309B3384 - 3 -

2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
