                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for compulsory judicial
     3     arbitration jurisdiction.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1794 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1794.  Compulsory judicial arbitration jurisdiction.
     9     Beginning January 1, 1987, the monetary limit in 42 Pa.C.S. §
    10  7361(b)(2)(i) (relating to compulsory arbitration) for the
    11  submission of matters to judicial arbitration in judicial
    12  districts embracing [first and second class] counties of the
    13  first, second or second class A shall be $25,000 for actions
    14  arising from the maintenance or use of a motor vehicle.
    15     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
