AN ACT
1 Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for an additional turkey hunting
3 season for junior hunters.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 2102(b) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 2102. Regulations.

10 (b) Seasons, possession, bag limits and devices.--
11 (1) The commission shall promulgate regulations relating
12 to seasons and bag limits for hunting or furtaking, the
13 possession of certain species or parts thereof, the number
14 and types of devices and equipment allowed, the
15 identification of devices and the use and possession of
16 devices.
17 (2) If in any year the commission fails to establish
18 seasons or bag limits or fails to establish other hunting or
1 furtaking regulations under authority of this title, the open
2 seasons and bag limits for game or furbearers, Sundays
3 excepted, unless otherwise provided by this title, and all
4 other hunting or furtaking regulations adopted under
5 authority of this title, shall be the same as set by
6 regulation of the commission for the previous license year,
7 and all seasons shall open and close one calendar day earlier
8 than the previous license year. In the event the commission
9 fails to establish seasons and bag limits for a license year
10 beginning in a leap year, the seasons shall open and close
11 two calendar days earlier than the previous license year.
12 (3) Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2) or any other
13 provision of this title or regulation to the contrary, there
14 is hereby established a special turkey hunting season for the
15 holders of junior hunting licenses who meet all the other
16 requirements of this title and regulations relating to junior
17 hunters. The special turkey hunting season shall occur on
18 Thanksgiving Day and the Friday and Saturday immediately
19 following Thanksgiving Day in each license year when fall
20 turkey hunting is permitted anywhere within this
21 Commonwealth. The limit shall be one turkey per junior
22 license holder.
