AN ACT
1 Designating a section of Interstate Highway 279 as the East
2 Street Valley Expressway.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The portion of Interstate Highway 279 from the
6 Veterans Bridge within the City of Pittsburgh to the City of
7 Pittsburgh's border with Ross Township is designated and shall
8 be known as the East Street Valley Expressway.
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation shall erect a
10 monument posted at an appropriate location along the highway,
11 recognizing the contribution of the 2,700 families whose removal
12 permitted the expressway's construction.
13 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
