                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for identity theft.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 4120 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     7  § 4120.  Identity theft.
     8     * * *
     9     (e.1)  Venue.--Any offense committed under subsection (a) may
    10  be deemed to have been committed at any of the following:
    11         (1)  the place where the person possessed or used the
    12     identifying information of another without that other's
    13     consent to further any unlawful purpose;
    14         (2)  at the residence of the person whose identifying

     1     information has been lost or stolen or has been used without
     2     the person's consent; or
     3         (3)  if the identifying information at issue is
     4     associated with the person's business or employment, then at
     5     the business or employment address of the person whose
     6     identifying information has been lost or stolen or has been
     7     used without the person's consent.

     9     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
