AN ACT 1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, further providing for boat registration fees and 3 registration renewal cycles for senior citizens. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 5104 of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: 8 § 5104. Fees. 9 [The] (a) General rule.--Except as provided in subsection 10 (b), the following fees apply to registrations, licenses, 11 permits and capacity plates issued under this part and the fees 12 collected shall be deposited in the State Treasury in the Boat 13 Fund: 14 (1) Owner registration (motorboats less than 16 feet in 15 length), $10 per year.
1 (2) Owner registration (motorboats 16 feet to less than 2 20 feet), $15 per year. 3 (2.1) Owner registration (motorboats 20 feet or longer), 4 $20 per year. 5 (2.2) Owner registration (boats not equipped with 6 motors), $5 per year. 7 (3) Duplicate owner registration, $3 each. 8 (4) Dealer registration, $15 each per year. 9 (5) Commercial passenger boat registration, $25 each. 10 (6) License for operator of passenger-carrying boat, $5 11 each. 12 (7) Capacity plate, $5 each. 13 (8) Transfer of a multi-year boat registration, $5. 14 (9) Permit for floating structure and private aids to 15 navigation, $10 each. 16 (b) Reduced fee and renewal cycle.--Notwithstanding any 17 provision of this title or any regulation promulgated under this 18 title, any person who is 65 years of age or older shall be 19 entitled to the following reductions: 20 (1) A reduction of 50% for any boat registration fee 21 assessed by the commission. 22 (2) A renewal cycle of one year at the option of the 23 applicant. 24 Section 2.
