AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for penalties for drag racing in
3 a city of the first class.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3367(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 3367. Racing on highways.

10 (d) Penalty.--
11 (1) Any person violating this section is guilty of a
12 summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to
13 pay a fine of $200.
14 (2) Any person violating this section in relation to
15 drag racing in a city of the first class is guilty of a
16 misdemeanor of the third degree and shall be sentenced as
17 follows:
18 (i) For a first offense, a fine of not more than
1 $1,000 and loss of operating privileges for six months.
2 (ii) For a second or subsequent offense, a fine of
3 not more than $2,000 and forfeiture of vehicle to the
4 governing body of the city.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
