AN ACT 1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An 2 act relating to the public school system, including certain 3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial 4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the 5 laws relating thereto," providing for extraordinary growth 6 supplements. 7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 8 hereby enacts as follows: 9 Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known 10 as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a 11 section to read: 12 Section 2502.45. Extraordinary Growth Supplement.--(a) For 13 the 2006-2007 school year and each school year thereafter, the 14 Commonwealth shall pay an extraordinary growth supplement to 15 each qualifying school district. To qualify for the 16 extraordinary growth supplement, a school district must have: 17 (1) A 2005-2006 market value/income aid ratio greater than 18 0.5000. 19 (2) A numerical difference between the school district's
1 2004-2005 average daily membership and the school district's 2 1994-1995 average daily membership greater than 450. 3 (3) A percentage difference between the school district's 4 2004-2005 average daily membership and the school district's 5 1994-1995 average daily membership greater than ten percent 6 (10%). 7 (b) The extraordinary growth supplement shall be calculated 8 for each qualifying school district as follows: 9 (1) Multiply the school district's 2004-2005 average daily 10 membership by twelve million dollars ($12,000,000). 11 (2) Divide the product from paragraph (1) by the sum of the 12 2004-2005 average daily membership for all qualifying school 13 districts. 14 Section 2.
