AN ACT
1 Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, prohibiting the feeding of big game.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 34 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
7 § 2162.1. Feeding of big game.
8 (a) General rule.--It is unlawful for any person to
9 intentionally feed or entice with any food, food product, hay,
10 grain, nut, salt, chemical or mineral; any deer, bear, turkey or
11 elk found in the wild, from September 1 through February 1.
12 (b) Nonapplicability.--This section shall not apply to a
13 member of the commission, the director or a representative of
14 the commission or any other law enforcement officer engaged in
15 any otherwise lawful action.
16 (c) Penalty.--A violation of subsection (a) shall be a
17 summary offense of the fifth degree.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
