AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act relating to counties of the second class
3 and second class A; amending, revising, consolidating and
4 changing the laws relating thereto," providing for delay of
5 adjusted property values from reapportionment.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Article XXI of the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723,
9 No.230), known as the Second Class County Code, is amended by
10 adding a subdivision to read:
11 (y) Miscellaneous Powers
12 Section 2199.21. Delay of Adjusted Property Values from
13 Reapportionment.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
14 the contrary, no adjustment to the property value of any
15 property situate in a county of the second class as a result of
16 a reapportionment that occurs in accordance with law or an order
17 of court, shall take effect for the calendar year 2001. Such an
18 adjustment may only take effect beginning in calendar year 2002.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
