AN ACT

Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, further providing for construction,

relocation, suspension and abolition of crossings.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 2702 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

§ 2702.  Construction, relocation, suspension and abolition of

crossings.

(i)  Notice.--A railroad shall provide each municipality and

school district impacted by nonemergency railroad repair work

requiring the temporary closing of a railroad crossing with two

weeks' notice of such temporary closing.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
