AN ACT
1 Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for identifying
3 information in protection from abuse orders.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6108(b) of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 6108. Relief.

10 (b) Identifying information.--Any order issued under this
11 section shall, where furnished by either party, specify the
12 Social Security number and date of birth of the defendant. Any
13 portion of any order or any petition or other paper that
14 includes a defendant's Social Security number shall be kept in
15 the files of the court as a permanent record and withheld from
16 public inspection except:
1 (1) upon an order of the court granted upon cause shown;
2 (2) as necessary, by law enforcement and court
3 personnel; or
4 (3) after redaction of information listing a defendant's
5 Social Security number.

7 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
