AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 26, 1981 (P.L.119, No.39), entitled "An
2 act authorizing and directing the Department of General
3 Services, with the approval of the Department of
4 Environmental Resources and the Governor, to convey to
5 Hartley Township, 1.308 acres of land situate in Hartley
6 Township, Union County, Pennsylvania," further providing for
7 the use restriction and reversionary covenant.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 2 of the act of June 26, 1981 (P.L.119,
11 No.39), entitled "An act authorizing and directing the
12 Department of General Services, with the approval of the
13 Department of Environmental Resources and the Governor, to
14 convey to Hartley Township, 1.308 acres of land situate in
15 Hartley Township, Union County, Pennsylvania," is amended to
16 read:
17 Section 2. The Deed of Conveyance shall contain a clause
18 that the lands conveyed shall be used for municipal [purposes]
19 services or public services, including, but not limited to, fire
20 protection service, by Hartley Township and if at any time the
1 township or its successor in function conveys said property or
2 authorizes or permits said property to be used for any purpose
3 other than municipal [purposes] or public services, the title
4 thereto shall immediately revert to and revest in the
5 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
6 Section 2. The Department of General Services is hereby
7 authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth to execute a deed
8 reflecting the amended use restriction and reversionary covenant
9 under section 2 of the act.
10 Section 3. The cost and fees relating to the conveyance
11 shall be borne by the grantee.
12 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
