AN ACT 1 Amending the act of July 4, 2004 (P.L. , No.7A), entitled "An 2 act to provide from the General Fund for the expenses of the 3 Executive, Legislative and Judicial Departments of the 4 Commonwealth, the public debt and for the public schools for 5 the fiscal year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, for certain 6 institutions and organizations, and for the payment of bills 7 incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year 8 ending June 30, 2004; to provide appropriations from the 9 State Lottery Fund, the Energy Conservation and Assistance 10 Fund, the Hazardous Material Response Fund, The State Stores 11 Fund, the Milk Marketing Fund, the Home Investment Trust 12 Fund, the Emergency Medical Services Operating Fund, the 13 Tuition Payment Fund, the Banking Department Fund, the 14 Firearm Records Check Fund, the Ben Franklin Technology 15 Development Authority Fund, the Tobacco Settlement Fund, the 16 Health Care Provider Retention Account and the Alternative 17 Fuels Incentive Grant Fund to the Executive Department; to 18 provide appropriations from the Judicial Computer System 19 Augmentation Account to the Judicial Department for the 20 fiscal year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005; to provide 21 appropriations from the Motor License Fund for the fiscal 22 year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, for the proper operation 23 of the several departments of the Commonwealth and the 24 Pennsylvania State Police authorized to spend Motor License 25 Fund moneys; to provide for the appropriation of Federal 26 funds to the Executive Department of the Commonwealth and for 27 the establishment of restricted receipt accounts for the
1 fiscal year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, and for the 2 payment of bills remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal 3 year ending June 30, 2004; to provide for the additional 4 appropriation of Federal and State funds from the General 5 Fund, for the Executive and the Legislative Departments of 6 the Commonwealth for the fiscal year July 1, 2003, to June 7 30, 2004, and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining 8 unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2003," 9 further providing for appropriations to the Pennsylvania 10 State Police. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. Sections 223 and 809 of the act of July 4, 2004 14 (P.L. , No.7A), known as the General Appropriation Act of 15 2004, are amended to read: 16 Section 223. Pennsylvania State 17 Police.--The following amounts are 18 appropriated to the Pennsylvania State 19 Police: Federal State 20 For general government operations 21 of the Pennsylvania State Police. The 22 Pennsylvania State Police may 23 anticipate Pennsylvania State Police 24 member vacancies occurring during the 25 fiscal period July 1, 2004, to June 26 30, 2005, and may authorize the 27 recruitment and training of cadets 28 based on anticipated vacancies prior 29 to the actual occurrence of the 30 vacancy. 31 [State appropriation....... 155,694,000] 32 State appropriation........ 153,956,000 33 For the hiring of 90 Pennsylvania 34 State Police members not based on 20040H2911B4580 - 2 -
