AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
3 exemption of wages from process.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8127 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 8127. Personal earnings exempt from process.
9 The wages, salaries and commissions of individuals shall
10 while in the hands of the employer be exempt from any
11 attachment, execution or other process except upon an action or
12 proceeding:

14 (4) For intentional torts.
15 Section 2. This act shall apply to attachments, executions
16 or processes which issue on or after the effective date of this
17 act.
1 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
