                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 16, 1994 (P.L.   , No.6A), entitled "An
     2     act to provide from the General Fund for the expenses of the
     3     Executive, Legislative and Judicial Departments of the
     4     Commonwealth, the public debt and for the public schools for
     5     the fiscal year July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, for certain
     6     institutions and organizations, and for the payment of bills
     7     incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year
     8     ending June 30, 1994; to provide appropriations from the
     9     State Lottery Fund, the Pennsylvania Economic Revitalization
    10     Fund, the Energy Conservation and Assistance Fund, the
    11     Hazardous Material Response Fund, The State Stores Fund, the
    12     Milk Marketing Fund, the Home Investment Trust Fund, the
    13     Emergency Medical Services Operating Fund, the Ben
    14     Franklin/IRC Partnership Fund and the Tuition Payment Fund to
    15     the Executive Department; to provide appropriations from the
    16     Judicial Computer System Augmentation Account to the Judicial
    17     Department; to provide appropriations from the Motor License
    18     Fund for the fiscal year July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, for
    19     the proper operation of the several departments of the
    20     Commonwealth and the Pennsylvania State Police authorized to
    21     spend Motor License Fund moneys; to provide for the
    22     appropriation of Federal funds to the Executive and Judicial
    23     Departments of the Commonwealth and for the establishment of
    24     restricted receipt accounts for the fiscal year July 1, 1994,
    25     to June 30, 1995, and for the payment of bills remaining
    26     unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1994;
    27     and to provide for the additional appropriation of State and
    28     Federal funds to the Executive and Judicial Departments of
    29     the Commonwealth for the fiscal year July 1, 1993, to June
    30     30, 1994, and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining
    31     unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1993,"
    32     increasing the appropriation to the Department of Community
    33     Affairs for enterprise zones.


     1     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     2  hereby enacts as follows:
     3     Section 1.  As much of the appropriation for enterprise zones
     4  in section 211 of the act of June 16, 1994 (P.L.   , No.6A),
     5  known as the General Appropriation Act of 1994, is amended to
     6  read:
     7     Section 211.  Department of
     8  Community Affairs.--The following
     9  amounts are appropriated to the
    10  Department of Community Affairs:           Federal       State

    12     For grants for housing and
    13  redevelopment assistance as authorized
    14  by the act of May 20, 1949 (P.L.1633,
    15  No.493), known as the Housing and
    16  Redevelopment Assistance Law, in areas
    17  designated as enterprise zones. No
    18  funds from this appropriation shall be
    19  distributed to any organization or
    20  agency other than a municipal
    21  government or a certified
    22  redevelopment authority created by a
    23  municipal government or governments
    24  under the provisions of the act of May
    25  24, 1945 (P.L.991, No.385), known as
    26  the Urban Redevelopment Law, unless
    27  specifically authorized by such
    28  government or redevelopment authority.
    29  In addition, any funds refunded to the
    30  department from prior year continuing

     1  appropriations for housing and
     2  redevelopment in areas designated as
     3  enterprise zones, including interest
     4  and refunds, shall be added to this
     5  appropriation.
