SENATE RESOLUTION

No. 3 Session of 1989

        ADOPTED, JANUARY 3, 1989

           WHEREAS, On January 20, 1989 The Honorable George Bush will
        be inaugurated as the President of the United States of America;
        and
           WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that a delegation represent
        the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at said
        ceremonies to be held in Washington, D.C.; now therefore be it
           RESOLVED, (the House of Representatives concurring), That the
        President Pro Tempore of the Senate is hereby authorized to
        appoint twenty-seven Republican Members of the Senate, and the
        Speaker of the House of Representatives is hereby authorized to
        appoint ninety-nine Republican Members of the House of
        Representatives who, together, shall constitute a Joint
        Committee to represent the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
        of Pennsylvania in the inaugural ceremonies of The Honorable
        George Bush.
