A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing the week of March 14 through 20, 1999, as "Children
2 and Hospitals Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's children are its
4 most valuable resource; and
5 WHEREAS, Many children face illnesses which require treatment
6 at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh; and
7 WHEREAS, The future of children's health care depends upon
8 our commitment to providing children with the best health care
9 possible; and
10 WHEREAS, This Children and Health Care Week campaign seeks to
11 support and enhance the many partnerships we all form to deliver
12 care to children, partnerships with families and their children,
13 with fellow professionals, with communities, and with
14 corporations; and
15 WHEREAS, The overall theme of "Children and Hospitals Week"
16 is Partners for Pediatric Pain Management; therefore be it
17 RESOLVED, That the Senate encourage citizens to participate
1 in activities in recognition of "Children and Hospitals Week";
2 and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That the Senate recognize March 14 through 20,
4 1999, as "Children and Hospitals Week" in this Commonwealth.
