A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1 Establishing a bipartisan task force comprised of members of the 2 Senate and of the House of Representatives to study the 3 feasibility of establishing child-care services within the 4 Capitol Building. 5 WHEREAS, Most families having young children, in which both 6 mother and father work outside the home, are users of child-care 7 facilities; and 8 WHEREAS, Many members of the General Assembly, as well as 9 staff, may be users of child-care facilities; therefore be it 10 RESOLVED (the House of Representatives concurring), That the 11 President pro tempore of the Senate appoint four members of the 12 Senate, two from the majority party and two from the minority 13 party, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives appoint 14 four members of the House of Representatives, two from the 15 majority party and two from the minority party, to serve as 16 members of the Task Force on Child-Care Services to determine 17 the need for child-care services for the members of the General 18 Assembly and for staff members; and be it further
1 RESOLVED, That the task force shall consider the hours of 2 operation of the child-care facility to include the working 3 hours of the Senate and House of Representatives (session nights 4 included) and to provide service for the members of the General 5 Assembly, as well as all of the staff that supports the General 6 Assembly; and be it further 7 RESOLVED, That the Task Force on Child-Care Services report 8 its findings to the General Assembly within six months following 9 the appointment of the members by the President pro tempore of 10 the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
