AN ACT
1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for veteran's
3 preference in appointments and promotions.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 7104 of Title 51 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 7104. Preference in appointment or promotion.

10 (d) Probationary or temporary civil service.--The acceptance
11 of probationary or temporary civil service employment shall not
12 result in the loss of any veteran's preference that would
13 otherwise be applicable to any soldier seeking regular or
14 permanent employment.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
