AN ACT
1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for a Selected Reserve Force
3 Medal.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 3701.1. Selected Reserve Force Medal.
9 The department shall select and procure a Selected Reserve
10 Force Medal for active and retired members of the Pennsylvania
11 National Guard who served in selected Reserve Force units during
12 the period from January 1, 1965, to December 31, 1969. The
13 Selected Reserve Force Medal shall be provided at cost to
14 persons who were residents of this Commonwealth at the time of
15 entry into the Pennsylvania National Guard and who make a
16 request to the department for the medal. The department shall
17 prescribe the detailed specifications and design for the medal.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
