AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
3 scattering rubbish.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6501(b)(1) of Title 18 of the
7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 6501. Scattering rubbish.

10 (b) Penalty.--
11 (1) A person who violates subsection (a)(1) or (2) is
12 guilty of a summary offense for the first offense and upon
13 conviction thereof shall be sentenced to:
14 (i) pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than
15 $300 [or to];
16 (ii) imprisonment for not more than 90 days[, or
17 both.];
18 (iii) NOT MORE THAN 90 days of community service; or <--
1 (iv) any combination of subparagraphs (i), (ii) and
2 (iii).

4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
