A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing the contribution of Artists Raising the
2 Consciousness of Humanity, Inc.
3 WHEREAS, Artists Raising the Consciousness of Humanity, Inc.,
4 (ARCH) was formed for the purpose of producing a theater of
5 self-awareness; and
6 WHEREAS, Its aims are to teach and educate adolescents
7 concerning the effects of negative peer pressure, to build self-
8 esteem and individuality, to heighten communication skills and
9 inner creativity, and to present professionally produced shows
10 utilizing and nurturing the skills of young people within this
11 Commonwealth; and
12 WHEREAS, ARCH has produced a true-to-life production of "West
13 Side Story" for the purpose of raising the awareness of the
14 Lebanon Community regarding the damage that racial prejudice
15 produces; and
16 WHEREAS, The production will be a tremendous contribution to
17 the Lebanon Community and a tribute to the young people who have
1 dedicated much time, energy, talent and heart to this
2 production; therefore be it
3 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 recognize ARCH for its contribution to raising the awareness of
5 the youth and the community at large, a contribution that will
6 surely be felt throughout this Commonwealth and will add
7 immeasurably to understanding the principle that all individuals
8 are equal and that, to create a better world, we must join
9 together and transcend the boundaries of race, religion and
10 economic status.
