        REFERRED TO RULES AND EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS, OCTOBER 28, 1997

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating the month of February 1998 as "Landscape
     2     Architecture Month."

     3     WHEREAS, The profession of landscape architecture provides
     4  design services that are beneficial to the public; and
     5     WHEREAS, Landscape architecture promotes stewardship of
     6  environmental quality; and
     7     WHEREAS, Landscape architecture promotes environmental
     8  quality through good design; and
     9     WHEREAS, Landscape architecture promotes environmental
    10  aesthetics; and
    11     WHEREAS, Landscape architecture promotes energy and
    12  environmental conservation through sensitive design; and
    13     WHEREAS, Landscape architecture promotes the recognition of
    14  our historic and environmental heritage through the preservation
    15  and reuse of existing structures and environments; therefore be
    16  it
    17     RESOLVED, That the Senate, recognizing the value and the
    18  importance of the profession of landscape architecture to

     1  Pennsylvania, designate February 1998 as "Landscape Architecture
     2  Month."
