A RESOLUTION 1 Designating April 28, 2005, as "Take Our Daughters and Sons to 2 Work Day" in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" is part of 4 the Ms. Foundation for Women's campaign to help children achieve 5 their full potential in the home, school and community and 6 explore future opportunities in the workplace; and 7 WHEREAS, "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" inspires 8 all children, regardless of economic, social and physical 9 challenges, to succeed in all future aspects of their adult 10 life; and 11 WHEREAS, "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" 12 meaningfully addresses the roles of men and women as part of the 13 work force and as part of a family; and 14 WHEREAS, Students participating in "Take Our Daughters and 15 Sons to Work Day" experience first-hand, with the guidance of a 16 caring adult mentor, the countless options available for their
1 future work and family lives; and 2 WHEREAS, Employers participating in "Take Our Daughters and 3 Sons to Work Day" gain better understanding of the challenges, 4 ideas and work-life issues of a future generation; therefore be 5 it 6 RESOLVED, That the Senate designate April 28, 2005, as "Take 7 Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" in Pennsylvania.
