AN ACT
1 Authorizing the incurring of indebtedness, with approval of the
2 electors, of $100,000,000 for the purchase of airport
3 easements, airports and airport-related property.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Question.
7 The question of incurring indebtedness of $100,000,000 for
8 the purchase of airport easements, airports and airport-related
9 property shall be submitted to the electors at the next primary,
10 municipal or general election following enactment of this act.
11 Section 2. Certification.
12 The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall certify the form of
13 the question under section 3 to the county boards of elections.
14 Section 3. Form of question.
15 The question under section 1 shall be in substantially the
16 following form:
17 Do you favor the incurring of indebtedness by the
18 Commonwealth of $100,000,000 for the purchase of airport
1 easements, airports and airport-related property?
2 Section 4. Election.
3 The election shall be conducted in accordance with the act of
4 June 3, 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the Pennsylvania
5 Election Code, except that the time limits for advertisement of
6 notice of the election may be waived as to the question.
7 Section 5. Proceeds.
8 Proceeds of borrowing shall be used to purchase airport
9 easements, airports and airport-related property to facilitate
10 air travel throughout this Commonwealth.
11 Section 6. Effective date.
12 This act shall take effect immediately.
